I have been wanting to use my PBC as a grill. So I raised the charcoal basket with a metal bucket about a foot. I filled the basket about 1/4 full and lit it.
It worked out perfectly.

I grill just on the rack. I like the distance so I don't burn food.

Good looking cook. I also like grilling from the rack without raising it to avoid burning my food. My preference.

Great cook. I grill with no raising of the rack. Less coals, but with all that air in there you get a hot enough fire. But, hey..whatever is clever
