Pulled Chicken with Old Dave’s Mac N Cheese
« Reply #-1 on: November 01, 2015, 04:23:00 PM »
Dinner tonight is pulled chicken sandwiches and mac n cheese.

A 6 pound roaster that was halved and seasoned with Zero to Hero.

After seeing Old Dave’s mac n cheese I decided to give it a try.  The only change I made to it was I used my
smoked extra sharp cheddar and smoked Colby/Monterrey jack cheeses.

I am using the PBC with a chunk of pecan and a chunk of cherry.  I used the lighter fluid method to start the fire.

I am cooking the mac n cheese on my Blaz’n Grillworks Grid Iron burning Lumberjack MHC pellets at 250.

Chicken and mac n cheese is done. 1 hour and 45 minutes total for both.

Here’s my plate!  I used a 50/50 mixture of Granny’s BBQ sauce and Sparks Fly sauce on my sandwich.

Chicken was killer and Old Dave’s Mac N Cheese recipe is definitely a keeper!

Love the Lumberjack pellets. My favorite is MHC (maple, hickory, cherry). Besides straight cherry the other one I like is OHC (oak, hickory and cherry).
