Woman vs chicken, Pt. 2

Made my 2nd cook of 2 chicken halves and corn on cob. Dried the chicken and used Weber rub. Cooked for an hour and 15 minutes. Then put it skin side down on the grate for 15 minutes more. It was perfect. Skin was crisp and chicken was juicy. The corn was good too. Great dinner!

Thanks for telling me teesquare. I didn't have any pix to post. We scarfed that chicken down so fast I never got to take one. That happens a lot in my house.

I've been thinking about finishing chicken on the grate to help crisp up the skin.  Love the juiciness of PBC chicken but would like the skin to be a bit crunchier . Thanks for the post.  Gonna give it a try.

That's a lot work finishing on the grate.
Just cook it a higher temp by lighting more coals.
