Some "Mumbo" Wings
« Reply #-1 on: January 14, 2017, 07:57:12 PM »
I came across a recipe for something called Mumbo Sauce and decided to try it on some wings. I used a dry rub that I used on my past Huli Huli chicken and tossed them in this sauce. It was pretty tasty. It's on the sweeter side as it has pineapple juice and sugar but definitely something different than the usual buffalo wings...

Those look really good to point that I could not decide if I would want them with a good lager beer or a good Whiskey.
OK maybe instead, a good Whisky with its smokey bog flavor .

If you have that recipe for the Mumbo sauce  - would love to have it in the Recipes Section....Sounds like it would be great!

Just put it there and the link to the page on amazingribs where I found it. In a nutshell this is the sauce...

4 ounces tomato paste
1 cup sugar
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup pineapple juice
4 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon powdered ginger
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce or more if you wish
