A special thanks to all have given their time and sadly their lives for this great Country of ours.

Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII, and my paternal grandfather was a POW. I was too young when they were alive to fully understand exactly what they had done while serving. Happy Veteran's Day to all those who served and to those currently serving.

I'm the kitchen manager at our Legion. We just had our Veterans dinner and sadly as every year there were fewer Vets attending. Age, and age related illnesses are taking a toll. That is why my wife does our school program. We get the kids to do posters and essays and poems for Remembrance day. It's important that they know the history of wars and peace so they know the personal cost of keeping us safe. Happy Veterans Day to all the American and Canadian vets.

Thanks to all my brothers and sisters for your service. United States Army July 1964 to retiring Sept 1999.

Art: Wow!! If I do the math that is 35 years. That is a reason to give you extra thanks for your service.
I was drafted during the Vietnam era, and only served for 1.5 years due to an early out. What a big difference from you and I never had combat experience!!
