re-sizing pics for the new forum
« Reply #-1 on: December 15, 2011, 09:20:27 AM »
with this new forum layout,
when you re-size your images to post/imbed (Photobucket) into your post
if you make/re-size them no wider than 640 pixels
they will post without having a scroll bar
and the entire image will be visible

Jack - Does this mean I'm finally going to be able to see your photos?

Jack - Does this mean I'm finally going to be able to see your photos?
I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to see my photos?
I re-size my pics and host them in a PhotoBucket account
then embed the URLs into my posts.
I've never had problems with folks being able to see my pics from PhotoBucket before.

When I'm posting non-personal photos I don't host them at PhotoBucket.
I host them at TinyPic.com.
some company/corporate servers have a block on TinyPic, YouTube, Facebook, etc..
(don't like the employees goofing off ;-)

Do you have problems seeing photos that are "attached" to the posts
those are hosted on this website's server space (not efficient)
you can only see "attached" photos if you are "signed in" on this site.
but even folks who are not signed in can see images that are hosted from a photo server

..I don't understand why you can't see hosted photos???

Jack, I'm thinking turtle might be talking "tongue in cheek".

I only know that on many of your posts I don't see the photo that's obviously supposed to be there.  I'm guessing it's the ones on tinypic even though I'm not on a corporate server.

Ooh, lookie - a buncha grunts, a giblets crest, a "burning worm," and a Metrical patch over a photo of some really good-looking pig meat!  I can see!
