PK / Vortex ?
« Reply #-1 on: October 23, 2017, 05:46:17 PM »
I ordered a Vortex for my kettle. Anyone ever try it in the middle of a PK?
Just thinking out loud.
Thanks

It would probably work. Never thought of that.  The thick aluminum does a pretty good job of holding in the heat.

I do like using a Weber charcoal basket in the PK when going indirect.

I'm thinking the heat forced up uniformly then back down might lead to a crispier skin. Gonna give it whirl once my Vortex gets here.

Love me some crispy chicken skin. Keep us posted when you get it.
