Just 20 minutes up the road, in Macon, there is another company that is coming on strong in the outdoor cooking arena.
RG and the rest of you may find this interesting...

Check out kudugrills.com for a solid open fire grill.

don't be afraid of open fire..I have been doing it for over 35 years..I like cooking on wood, but leaning towards charcoal. But I prefer open fire at the camp ground. We have a couple of well used tire rims and throw a cast iron grate over it or use the tri-pod with cast iron..guess you would call us primitive.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Last year I was giving this versatile grill a good long look, along with a pared down list of offset smokers, as our plan was for me to retire this year. With my heart attack in March and both of us going vegan, I am glad that I didn't buy either. But at the time this was a sweet looking option.

South Africa inspired...the guy designed and built it after visiting his wife's family in S A.  His company is in Macon and no, I haven't visited them yet.

Mike, I think it is portable enough that you can bring yours when you come.

I always look at the open fire pits when I see them and start thinking about becoming a Cowboy. They have a lot of versatility and I would love to learn to cook on them because after the zombie apocalypse what will be left to cook on?  :o 8)

I actually do open fire cooking. We got a big fire pit that has a expanded metal grill that fits over it for grilling. I however will shovel all the coals in the center and put my PK Grill top over it for the night.

If I don't do that I won't sleep a wink...............

Looks very cool indeed but if I buy another cooker it better have a bed attached to it :D
