7 Finger Pork Chop
« Reply #-1 on: November 10, 2017, 10:24:14 AM »
I was in San Antonio taking a new client out to dinner. They picked Perry's Steak House. I looked at the menu prior to going to see how much my credit card was going to bleed.

This pork chop jumped off the page at me. They describe the chop as 7 fingers thick, brined, smoked with pecan wood for 6-8 hours. Then carmelized with a BBQ sauce for service. Then carved table side. Forty bucks. Which I didn't think was too bad.

It was very good. And really huge. Couldn't even finish half of it.

I would be asking for a doggie bag. Now in the 70's 4 fingers was used to measure out other items.............

7 fingers of pork is one big chop. Bet it was good..........

Pappy, you should have taken your client to Perry's Pork Chop Friday Lunch Special where that pork chop is only $14.95. Probably not quite as big as seven fingers, but still more than you can eat. It is prepared exactly the same as the dinner pork chop. I love this steakhouse. We have 5 of them in the Houston area and I have visited the one in La Cantera in San Antonio a few times. All of them are top notch.
