SuperBowl Food

How about everyone sharing your favorite Superbowl food/snack recipes.  Doesn't have to be BBQ or even cooked outdoors (or even cooked at all for that matter). 8)

For the Superbowl we always order Lido's Pizza. It is an old pizza place that has been in the valley as long as I can remember. One topping large pizza's are around 18.00 but they are insanely good. Thin hand rolled crust. They make their own sausage...don't get me started on their cheese. We only eat there one time a year and I am just under -3- weeks away...........

We always have a super bowl party.  Order a 100 wings from Hooters (medium).  Take a bottle of my Original with me and they put in the sauce before tossing.  So much better.  I usually do a smoked butt and ribs.  Home made taco's and of course all the finger food with cold beer and good wine.  Fun time!  Phil

My man dip is a must have. 3 ingredients..5 minutes to make and guys just love this stuff.
Get a bag of BIG scoops or round tostitos.
Brown 1lb of sausage, hot is good here. Cook till done then
Add 1 can of Rotel tomatoes, hot is good here too or regular if your shy.
Mix well and add 1 - 8oz pkg of Philadelphia cream cheese, cut up in chunks.
Let melt together and eat. Enjoy.
I put in a small crock pot. I also make my own wangs. These are almost done.

I make a dip using some left over mexican taco stuff I make.  for the tacos I brown 2lbs hamburger and onions.  drain, add in 2 cans chilli beans (hot or mild), 1 can black beans, 1 can Rotel (hot or mild), package of taco seasoning and I add a little more mexican seasoning I have. We will make burritos, tacos, or taco salad from this.  You can freeze any left overs.

For the Dip, I take this meat mixture and add it to a crockpot with a mixture of Velveeta mexican and a package of Mexican melting cheese (it's a white cheese with peppers you an find in the dairy section of your grocery store). If still too thick, you can thin out with some milk.  Makes an excellent dip or you can ladle it over tortilla chips, garnish with black olives and jalepeno slices, chopped tomatos and cilantro and you have a plate of Macho Nachos. You can keep this dip warm in the crock and it will feed a whole bunch for the whole game.

Not sure.  In Wal-mart they have a little section of Mexican food in the cheese section - has several brands - one in a square container was called mexican melting cheese, saw another one that said queso fresco.  May be the same thing but made by different brand?  I just use the white cheese to help mellow the velveeta.  I know some folks that mix philly cream cheese with velveeta in their dip recipes. You could just use straight velveeta or mix in any other cheese that will melt good.  The great thing about this recipe is that there is no one right way to do it.

Bobo..the queso fresco melts wonderfully but is a lil on the salty side. I shredded it and stuffed poblanos with it..It was nice and stringy when you cut into the peppers..like a good pizza does.  Pam ★*˚°。°
