A determined Flower

Oct 10 2015

One of my potted flowers I had this summer has outlasted others this fall. All summer it had some trumpet shaped deep red flowers. I forgot what the name of it was. Since it has stayed green I have left it on this table.

I keep a broom behind the chair. One day I noticed it was starting a new shoot like it wanted to vine. It grew enough to reach and grab hold of the broom handle. I removed it and laid it on the table but it found its way back. My wife said she took it off several times and I used the broom too but it always found its way back.

It is a stubborn plant and likes the broom handle! I am going to store it in my shed and see if it will come back next summer.
