Just one week to go and the early weather looks pretty good. Might get a little moisture on Thursday and maybe again on Sunday but the rest of the weekend looks good. 70-75 degree days and 55-60 degree nights is my kind of weather.

Got my little trailer out of the barn yesterday morning and put it on the back patio so it would be easy to load the items we plan to carry in the trailer.

Everyone travel safe and we will see you at the gathering as we should get in about noon on Thursday.

May 31 2016

Here are two bungs of B&M old fashioned bologna; 30 pounds total. This is an old fashioned German recipe that Boar & More packing co. used to make years ago. When they closed up they gave the recipe to butcher Dick Kah of Kah Meats. His son Kris still makes it and the best bologna I ever ate.

I had Kris make me up two bungs and most will go to the Ohio Gathering this week end. Two members ordered a half bung each and the rest I will give to Cliff (TentHunter) to divide up among those attending, to eat or take home for later.

That is some good bologna...got some last year at the Gathering.

Got most of our prep work done today and both the car and trailer loaded up. Jan will take one more trip to the store today and we will be ready to go. Plan to leave early (5:00am) Thursday morning and should get to the Gathering at about Noon-1:00pm.

Looking forward to seeing everyone..
