No fret, toss all the engineers at the issue you want to and you will not solve the issue.  Like L.A. said kamado cookers have been around a long time and I'm sure the so called "Perfect" brisket has been cooked problem is no two people would agree on what is "Perfect Brisket"  Hell you have a hard time getting two people to decide on what pizza toppings they want at the same time.

The PBC is a heck of a cooker but like any cooker it's not the do all cooker.   Besides with that much research and that many people involved can you imagine the $$$$$$ of one of those to hit the market???

PBC's cost far less then that thing and would do a great job or even a home built cooker (which I have a few) and yes to date those cook very well (still working on the Rocket Stove idea )  ;)

Plus they probably weren't paying attention at judges' class --smoke ring is not a criteria for appearance in KCBS judging.

Forgive my anti-ivy league impertinence should my comment offend anyone......

But to consider an engineering project done by a school full of " Biffs" and "Buffy's"  who have servants and a membership at the the yacht club.......well....let's all remember that a good old cow college ( insert any numer of schools here...But you know where my heart is...) that teaches every aspect of how to breed, raise, doctor, butcher...AND cook 'em should have far more credibility in this area than a bunch of blue blood frat boys whose destiny lies on Wall St. rather than on Main St. in real America.

Reiteration of apologies extended.....

I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull's a@s, but I'd rather take a butcher's word for it.

It looks like it would cook fine.  But Kamodo cookers have been around for a long, long time.  It looks like a fire fueled kiln for clay pots, or pizza.
