Hello from Mid Alabama
« Reply #-1 on: December 11, 2011, 10:49:49 AM »
Hi, my name is Ken (sounds like the introduction at a 12 step program) and I was born and raised here in mid Alabama, currently living just south of Birmingham. I grew up with a Mom and Grandmother who were both great Southern cooks and I married a lady who was also. My cooking was limited to the standard backyard grilling, hot dogs, hamburgers, pork chops and steaks. When my wife became ill and later passed away I had to learn to cook for real in order to survive and feed two teenage kids. The grill was still my strong point but I had to expand my horizons. I later married a fine Southern Lady who learned to cook at the feet of her Mother and Grandmother. She is probably one of the best cooks I have known and has greatly increased my knowledge of cooking. Over the last 12 years my outdoor and indoor cooking abilities have greatly improved and even more since I have found forums like this and found folks like y'all who can teach me so many new things.

Anyway Life Is Good (at least my t-shirt says it is). I look forward to learning more from my current friends on here and new ones to come.

Welcome Ken.

Ken,  It's good to have you here.  It's good to read your bio.  It helps me to understand why you are the fine fella you are today.  Dee
This post may contain misspellings, grammatical errors, disorganized sentence structure, misquotes, and lack a coherent theme.  These elements are natural to the process of writing, and will only add to the beauty of the post.
