Hello from the San Fernando Valley
« Reply #-1 on: December 17, 2011, 06:16:36 PM »
Hey everyone!  My name is Bill and I live in Los Angeles.  I have about 15 different cookers and I barbecue/smoke/grill/cook outdoors at least four times a week.  I'm a member of the California BBQ Association but I don't compete.  I'm just a backyard cook who loves BBQ.

welcome to the Forum Bill.  I too am a CBBQA member and I also do not compete.  Joined CBBQA so I could attend the CBBQA Uninversity Cooking Class earlier this year with Larry and other Pitmasters.

Pete,

Are you planning to go to the Q-Fest in February?  It's usually a lot of fun.

The Q-fest is in San Dimas.  Here's some info:

And here's another barbecue pic.  This time it's ribs on my New Braunfels Black Diamond.

That looks like an older model New Braunfels. Looks like it was made in Texas instead of the cheapened up CB versions.

I believe Captain Jack has an older model New Braunfels vertical smoker.........
