AKA firefly in Cincinnati
« Reply #-1 on: November 24, 2012, 07:26:06 AM »
Hello, I was asked to check out the action here and so here I am. Glad to find you all. I have been out of town for the holiday and took a look at my son-in-law's grill and had some very nice things from it. However, I was glad to get home and back to my InfraRed which gives me very consistent results and no burned spots.

I also concentrate on low calorie, high taste meals which has really helped me keep off that 30 lbs I lost 1.5 years ago.  ;D And the added bonus of really loving my food thanks to the grill. I use rubs much more than sauces and grill a lot of fruits and vegetables which have become family favorites.

I have a little two burner CharBroil Infra Red and just love it.
Oh my, I just had the BEST grilled _______! Wow.

Thanks for joining us here!

I like your healthy perspective on outdoor cooking - and felt like you would be a real asset - with lots of great ideas to share. So glad you took us up on the invitation.

We have a "Healthy Alternatives" Section - and I hope you can help us build it into a quality resource for anyone looking to reduce weight - or just eat healthier -even if it is  just every now and then. ;D

And - as you make yourself at home here - please think of other folks on forums that you like and that are the friendly, helpful kind - that you would like to invite to join us. It is how we are growing this site. By good neighborly folks - inviting others that are of that sort.

Again, thanks for joining us, and WELCOME!

Wow, thanks for the lovely welcome! I have used the grill to maintain my weight loss and my blood pressure (!) too. So, I would say that the grill is a real tool for weight loss  and maintaining, something I never thought of before.

I used to think that a grill was just an appliance to make meat candy. Well, you can do that but you can also make things which are better than meat candy (imagine that!). So, as I find things out through experimenting, I will tell you about them and read your advice and stories with great enthusiasm, too! Great to be here in an adventuresome creative group.

By the way, love your icon, Pam! Made me smile.
