Dehydrating and Ribs
« Reply #-1 on: December 28, 2017, 04:04:08 PM »
Decided to play with my new dehydrator.

Used the jerky gun to make ground beef jerky strips. I made a couple of round ones to see how they come out.

Here is the ground beef jerky going into the dehydrator.

I made 2 lbs so I had some room to add some peppers.

While I am waiting for the jerky, I put two half racks of BB ribs and some beef ribs in the RecTec for dinner.

I'll be back later with the results.

Hmmm - rib jerky? I'll have to think about that.

Meanwhile, here is the jerky

The ribs plated:

The peppers (sure did shrink a lot.)

The ribs were great - if I do say so myself, both my beef and BBacks have been coming out fantastic lately.

I'll be making the peppers into powdered spices.
So far I am glad I got the dehydrator.

It all looks really good gus. Careful when you grind those peppers...The smallest amount of the dust in the air can be a sinus clearing experience. ;)

Careful"Mini-soda" boy...I will see that you get your long sought after transfer to International Falls....where there is shrinkage in even August ;) :D ...It was -37F there yesterday morning. YES NEGATIVE 37 degrees Fahrenheit ....Even the Moose are afraid to use the bathroom outdoors in that weather, for fear of "impromptu amputation"
