RETEST USING IMGUR
Well, the new Blaz'n Grill Works Grid Iron was properly burned in and I did a bacon cook last night to iron out some hotspots. A new Fireboard is en route so I can get everything dialed in but "right out of the box" its turning out some very nice food.
I did a quick two-hour marinade for a pack of wings; lemon juice, lemon pepper, seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and a little drizzle of honey.
Moved the wings into a 190° smoker over BBQ'ers Delight Hickory for 30 minutes, then bumped it to 350 for 25 minutes with a light re-seasoning of lemon pepper.
A flip for another 20 minutes, then pulled out of the smoker. Finished them with a light drizzle of honey.
Great smoke flavor, though I look forward a lighter mix with some fruitwood flavor from the CookinPellets Perfect Mix. Good crunch (though the wings at the rear of the smoker ended up a little more crisp than I'd like) and tons of smoke flavor. Citrus kick up front cut with the sweetness from the honey. All in all, I'm pleased with the first cook on the Blaz'n. I'll be posting a full Blaz'n Grid Iron review soon; I'm using this post primarily as a guinea pig for Imgur embedding.
