Hey,

My name is Art and I love all things BBQ.  I own a MAK 2 Star pellet grill and love to cook low and slow.  I have started making my own sausages and curing pork bellies for some good bacon.  I am a KCBS BBQ Certified Judge.  Until I bought my MAK several years ago, I cooked on my old standby, a Weber Kettle.  Now it just collects dust on my back porch.

I have a new set of friends, compliments of my cooking and judging.  They are all over the country.  I always learn a lot reading about their cooking adventures.  I have even gotten to meet a few of them.  Lots of fun.

Hi Art..welcome...good to meet you...I'm jsut getting started with smoking..in the last year. I started with making my own cold smoker out of a Coleman Cooler. It works wonderfully. I have cold smoked tons of cheese..well almost..and assorted spices, sugars etc. I now have a CharBroil 30" vertical electric smoker that I have had excellent results from. I put on pork roasts, overnite then check them in the morning at the campground. I make them all crazy waking them up with the smells. Best pulled pork I have ever made. The brisket is killer too. so I'm looking forward to learnin from you for sure. Again welcome. Pammie ★*˚°。°
