Newbie from North Dakota
« Reply #-1 on: June 01, 2012, 01:47:51 PM »
Sparky, a buddy of mine told me about this site and figured I would join in on the fun!

Been playing around making venison sausage since the late 80's and learning to apply smoke to food since the late 90's... and have found I am still constantly learning. Thought I would join The Let's Talk BBQ as it looks like a huge source of knowledge that I can tap into and maybe even leave a little helping someone else out.

Over the years my wife and I have collected quite a bit of sausage making and smoking equipment that include 3 Weber kettles and a Charbroil kettle, a 40" and a 30" Masterbuilt electric smoker, a converted commercial stainless fridge, propane powered, thermostatically controlled with electronic pilot, a UDS in the works, a Chargriller Smokin' Pro off set, an Orion Cooker, a Holland Legacy and a Holland Companion, a Sportsmans grill and just last winter purchased a Yoder YS640.

We are now talking about getting a portable pellet grill for camping... 8) If that happens we may have to retire a few of the others!

Been scanning the forums and getting use to the site... I am looking forward to getting to know the group, thanks for having me!
