LTBBQ Newbie
« Reply #-1 on: June 25, 2014, 05:04:38 PM »
Hi, Folks!
I'm a Southern California long-time griller and comparatively short-time smoker. I bought a Traeger Texas smoker a couple of years ago at my local Costco and am totally in love with it!  My favorites are St. Louis style ribs with rub and sauce from the book "Smoke & Spice," and pork butts for pulled-pork sandwiches.  My wife insists on (sigh!) chicken and turkey breast, so I gotta keep her happy, too.  Good fun & good eats!!!

After my old Ducane two-burner grill finally died a few months back, I bought a Saber Cast 500 P infrared grill, which I also have come to love. My favorite on that is rib-eye steaks.  My wife likes to keep me busy on the grill with (more) chicken and lots of salmon and tilapia fillets, so I am really a happy camper.

My favorite Q website is amazingribs.com, totally a wealth of information! I followed a link from there to another website and from there another link to LTBBQ.  Looking forward to learning from you all and maybe contributing a bit, too!

Blessings to all from...

A hearty welcome from Maine.  You have come to a great place and that's an excellent book (IMHO) you're working from.  The Bourbon-Glazed Ribs from it is one of my favs.  If you're the sharing type, some here might be interested in that sauce recipe *hint*.  Can't wait to see some of your cooks.  Welcome.

Welcome from Arkansas.  I have a smoke n spice book handed down by my Dad a few months ago.  Made a batch of wild willy's # 1 a while back from that book.  It was pretty good, but wish I had taken the author's advice to use good grade Hungarian paprika....See ya around.
