Grandson smoked roasting his "Awesomest Chicken" for his brother's birthday.
He brined the chicken for 5 hours while he made his rub and glazing sauce.
Chicken smoked at 225 for 2.5 hours and roasted at 350 until done.

His older brother started grilling and smoking at an early age also but that is on the back burner for now.
When he turned teenager he found out about girls.
He had to stand on a step stool to reach the grill. :)

Too cool! I'm sure many on here can relate to the balancing act of girls vs. grills vying for attention!

Great Job there sir. Cooking and Grandpa'ing :)

Very Cool! That somewhat reminds me of my son. Although he never got into outdoor cooking much, he found Food Network when he was 12 and started trying to cook what Bobby and Emeril were cooking. We started buying better cookware to feed his passion and now he's a Sous Chef working in a ritzy "pay to be a member to eat there" place on the 40th something floor in downtown Atlanta.
Glad to see the young man starting early! He looks like he's well on his way!

Proper parenting and thank you for something that seems to missing in many households today.
Excellent.
