Real, active culture yogurt can be an almost magical ingredient, especially when used in the marinading of proteins. Great on poultry for sure!

If you use it on mutton, goat or any venison, it will help to tame any gamey smell and taste.

Ask ACW3 ( Art ) about the old goat hind quarter that we cooked for a father's day event at a Farmer's Market......it was a mild as pork, and a texture like pulled chuck. People could not believe it was goat.

Well...I am not Indian ( that I know about...but I DO have a colorful - multi-ethnic genetic mix and family for sure! :D :D :D )  I do love Indian food.

We have someone on the forum here that has used either The Big Easy or an SRG for making naan. ( Garlic naan may be my undoing - it has certainly streched some seams in my pants ;D )

I am going to have to get back into using yogurt. I am with SD, might have to wait until it warms up to use the grill for this one. Thank you!
