Marinate used in Sizzle Monster video
« Reply #-1 on: March 25, 2016, 01:57:39 AM »
Hello fellow badass BBQ chefs:

There were several people commented on my video on the KickStarter project Sizzle Monster about what marinate I was using that makes the chicken and ribs look awesome.  I must say it tasted pretty good too.  My friends and brother in law in Seattle will demand that I bring over the famous ribs/chicken to the party/potluck when I used to live there.  Here it is:

1 cup dark soy sauce
1 clove of garlic, smashed
1 table spoon sesame oil
1/4 cup of brown sugar
3 chilli pepper
1 Anise (star shape spice)
1/4 cup rice wine, vodka works great too

Mixed it and let it sit for 1 hour so all the spice is working together, then put the meet in the ziplock bag and then pour this mixture into it and marinate for 1 day.  This is great for chicken, pork chops and ribs, you will steal the spot light in the party!

Thanks for your support on the KickStarter and please pass on the word so we can materialize our little project and the backers can get their toy to show off!  Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing your marinade Mr Wu!
Looking forward to trying it and searing steaks at 1000+F when my Sizzle Monster arrives!
This could be the PERFECT aid to sous vide cooking, with extreme heat to finish any meat cooked sous vide!

3 pepper can be dried chili, or Thai chili. I happen to have Thai chili planted in my garden.  The chili spiciness does not come through after you BBQ, but definitely adds to the flavor.  You will make your neighbor hungry!
