De'ja' VooDoo Yardbird Thanks Sparky!!
« Reply #-1 on: October 17, 2016, 08:36:23 AM »
I have yet another surgery coming up (11th in 11 years)  :-[         So I took this Sunday to get food ready for the freezer
I used Sparky's VooDoo rub and olive oil for injection then I rubbbed a little rub on the outer skin.  Smoked at 225 for a good 2 hrs then cranked up the heat to 325 till they were done.   Kimmie said some of the best  yardbird I have made  (well skin was not as crisp as the SRG's) ;) ;)

I made Turkey legs and yardbirds.  Will slice the yardbirds up into chunks so I can bag them and have lunches ready when needed

All bagged and ready!

That is some mighty fine looking' yardbird, Tommy.  I haven't tried Sparky's rub yet.  Sounds like I need to do that, soon.
