Jerk Chicken Wings
« Reply #-1 on: April 08, 2014, 09:00:57 PM »
So my wife is currently sequestered on jury duty and won't be home tonight. I need to make something quick and good for dinner after dealing with the three boys all evening. I had some wings in the freezer and some jerk sauce.

Let them marinate for an hour while I change poopy diapers and deal with the maniacs.
Onto the Mak at 325 for an hour.
These turned out really well.. The jerk marinade gave a nice sweet heat.

I even put a veggie on the plate.. So if my wife ever asks I ate healthy!

Looking real good to me, and love a man who changes diapers too. My hubby never changed a diaper in his life, catches and cleans fish, used worms, wigglers, leaches and all kind of weird stuffs, but can't handle it. Lol. I have a 16 month old and there are diapers involved.  Go figure.  Pam ;*))

Great plate of wings (and a few carrots).  I need to see if I have any wings in the freezer.  If not, I know I am going to the store later today to buy some.

Great lookin' wings, man....I did some jerk wings Saturday for the first time.  Found some jerk seasoning - thought it was for makin' jerky until I found out from y'all.  Also had some jerky marinade - that IS used to make jerky- that was left over from beef jerky I made a couple of weeks ago.  There was just a little left in the jar, so I did only 5 wings with the jerk seasoning after marinating them for a couple of hours.  Smoked 'em with the non-jerked wings for about an hour, then moved 'em close to the firebox  and brushed on some more jerky marinade and let 'em glaze over a bit.

Results? They were cooked very well and looked just like yours...probably tasted a lot like yours (so no pics).  Could only eat one because they were pretty spicy and we don't do heat too well.  My neighbor was cookin' out that evening so I was able to pass them over the fence to him.  Thumbs up!
