Just got an Instant Pot
« Reply #-1 on: February 11, 2017, 06:52:59 PM »
I just picked up an Instant Pot IP-DUO60 from Craigslist.  It was missing the two spoons and the measuring cup but the price was right.  So, now what?

You cook lots of fantastic food Bill  :D  :P

Using it as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, and even a yogurt maker. There's been a good number of recipes posted here for the Instant Pot (IP). Just do a search on 'Instant Pot' ... Enjoy ... I happen to own two Instant Pots.

Thanks Pete.  I didn't buy one when Amazon had that great sale a while back and I immediately regretted it.  I kept checking Amazon to see if they'd have another and I kept checking Craigslist as well. Today I when I checked CL one had been posted 1/2 hour earlier.  It was the cheapest price I've seen and it was about five minutes from my house.  I'm ready to start using it.  I've been watching introduction videos for weeks.  I'll keep everyone posted.

You people have me thinking about the electric pressure cooker but I am not sure I can do away with my Grand Ma's pressure cooker with the rocking wight on top to regulate pressure. It is in it's third generation of use.
