ABTs
« Reply #-1 on: August 14, 2017, 12:42:49 PM »
Spent the weekend at a friend's cabin up on the Santiam River in Oregon. For our Saturday night appetizers, I made and cooked ABTs. This time I used Fletcher's MAPLE flavored thick cut bacon. WOW! It elevated the flavor of those ABT's through the roof!
I cut the jalapenos in half and scraped out the seeds and pith under running water.  Then dried off the halves, added cream cheese and a little smokie and then wrapped with a half slice of the Maple flavored bacon.  Cooked @ 380F for a half hour. Just perfect!
My hosts didn't think we'd be able to eat all 24 of them. Guess what? DEVOURED!
