Low carb pizza
« Reply #-1 on: August 14, 2017, 08:07:17 AM »
Made this last night only 4 carbs per slice.   Start with a mozzarella and almond crust (recipe coming) bake 10 mins then flip over, bake another 5 mins before adding toppings.  Bake 5 to8 mins after you have topped the pizza or until the cheese is melted and meat is cooked (I pre-cooked the sausage for time savings)

Dough recipe.....

2 cups Mozzarella cheese (fresh graded)
1 cup Almond flour
1 large egg
1 Tbs of Psyllium Husk Powder
1 Tbs of Italain seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Melt Mozzarella in microwave just enough where you can fold in the dry ingredents then add the egg and form a dough ball.   Next roll the dough into a 12 to 14 in pizza crust and bake for 10 mins at 400 to set the crust.  Next flip the crust over and bake another 5 mins then remove and add your favorite toppings.

Remember to pre cook sausage because you will not have enough time to cook raw sausage

Sauce..  I used RAO's sauce because it is only 3 carbs per 1/2 cup and you will need 1 full cup to cover the crust

I was on the outer edge, I be live I didn't get the center cooked all the way because of the pan I was using.  Next time I will use a stone or cook it outdoors on my pellet SRG with a stone.

It was really good though and since I can't have a regular crust this fits the bill nicely
