My first PBC Chicken
« Reply #-1 on: January 10, 2016, 07:11:51 PM »
Bought a 4lb halved chicken and tried the recipe from the site. Just used the PBC all purpose rub and put the chicken on for two hours. I'll probably reduce the time by 15 minutes next time as the internal temp ended up at 180. The chicken was amazing, tasted great and was definitely juicy.

Looks great. I always use a probe thermometer on a rope. Pull at 160-162 IT in the Breast.

One of the best chickens I've ever had. I wouldn't mind putting some sort of glaze on it for the final few minutes

the whole chicken was my first cook in the pbc and i was hooked from then on.  yours looks good and im sure it tasted good!! as pappy mentioned, i would recommend a temp probe if you don't already have it.  the investment will prove invaluable as you use the pbc, happy cooking!!!
