First Shot at Wings
« Reply #-1 on: January 30, 2016, 11:15:42 AM »
I took my first shot at wings on the PBC. I'm a massive wing junkie. Normally I make my own wing sauce and rub but went with the recipe from the site. I put the wings on for 30 mins, sauced and put them back on for 5. Next time I think I'll sauce them at 20 mins as they were plenty done at 30. I have to say the flavor of charcoal cooked wings was outstanding. The KC Masterpiece / Sriracha blend wasn't too bad, I'm normally not a huge fan of bbq sauce wings but it was good. I added a few more ingredients to the mixture for my liking. I'll be making traditional buffalo wings probably later today with my rub / recipe to see how they turn out :)

This is the wing sauce I found on Food Network and thought it was dam tasty. I cut this recipe in half as it's too much for me to do the full recipe. I'd probably lessen the seasoning salt more from the recipe.

8 cups red hot sauce, such as Frank's
2 cups melted butter
1/2 cup mango habanero sauce
8 tablespoons brown sugar
4 teaspoons chili powder
4 teaspoons garlic powder
4 teaspoons onion powder
4 teaspoons black pepper
4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
4 teaspoons seasoning salt
