Completed the Freeze-Q competition for charity!
« Reply #-1 on: February 01, 2016, 11:26:41 AM »
We raised $6000 for Carney's Kids.  These children were born with disabilities that prevent them from living what we would consider a normal life.  It is a great charity!  I am honored that they thought enough of us to be able to volunteer our time.  So here is how it went down. We took 1 PBC, and 2 grills!  Overall rank was 31.  40 total teams.  Rank as follows.  Chicken 31.  Ribs 28.  Pork 31.  Brisket 20. Also a shout out to Bob c Que!  He stopped by to say hello, and we had a wonderful time!  Hope he liked the grub!!!!   This was our first competition, so I do not feel so bad, as we were pitted against the number 1 and 2 teams in Missouri.

Great job for a great cause! Had fun stopping by and chatting with you guys. Ribs were very tasty. With each comp you'll get better as you find out more about what the judges are looking for. So much different than cooking at home for family and friends! Keep on smokin'!

Good for you and your team. Doing something you love and helping others, about as good as it gets. You will do better in each competition.
