Title: Western Bacon Cheeseburgers

Haven't had the big charcoal grill fired up for a while. Been too cold. Been hankerin for Carls Western Bacon Cheeseburger but the closest one is in Waco and didn't feel like driving 40 minutes for a burger.

so what do you do.......you make your own!!

Had patties already pounded out in the freezer. Cooked some Applewood smoked bacon in the pellet grill and away we go.

Those do look great.
Like you, I've been jones'n for a good burger, but can't bring myself to resort to fast food. (And I'm too cheap to pay $10.00 at a sit down joint)
It's pretty cold here for me to unwrap the griddle so I guess I'll just have to wait a while.  :( :(

Great lookin' burgers, Smoke.

It's hard to beat homemade, especially when you know what you want and how to do it. Sure, it takes some effort, but these look like a good payoff on your work.

I know Smoochie was happy.

Now that we are in Texas he insists on wearing his hat all the time. He won't even take it off in the house.......

Smoke - those look excellent. I have had the Carl's Western Bacon CB and I am positive it is sufficiently inferior to yours.  Home made is best made.

He is still a little wore out from the drive here but he is picking his spots.

Never had the Western at Carl's, but my favorite is the Frisco at Hardee's (hold the mayo, add mustard, add pickles).

But, I'd take on of those over either anytime ! ! !
