Title: Using a rotisserie kit on a PK Grill or PBC?
Post by: Smokin Papa Steve on January 18, 2018, 09:30:55 AM
I have seen some videos with people using a rotisserie kit and getting delicious looking results.  My arsenal now consists of an original PK Grill and and Pit Barrel Cooker.  I doubt that a rotisserie kit could be used on the PBC but what about a PK?   Many are using a Weber unit with a a rotisserie kit but I am not ready for another grill (Smokin Mama would not be happy).  Any ideas?

I do not think there would be enough room for that on a PK. I think the meat would be way to close to the bottom where there would be too much heat. When doing the set up on a Weber they add a ring for more height.................

But.....

I am wondering about the PBC. Tho it is not needed, I understand the desire to experiment. If you went diagonally instead of directly across from one to to the intended hole....You could "center" the rotisserie. But, how would you anchor it? I would not like to drill into mine, and damage that nice enamel.....

I thought someone tried this on the PBC?  If not I will! Stay tuned the holes are already there .. :)
