Thank you all for the kind words! I know that I will not be able to thank each and everyone's best wishes but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate it.

I feel blessed to have been contacted by Ulysses Press to see if I would be interested in writing a wood pellet smoker and grill cookbook. At first I thought it was spam but something kept me from deleting the email ... to make a long story short ... My cookbook will be going to the printers in a couple of weeks. Upon closer scrutiny (not counting recipe books provided by pellet grill manufacturers) I learned that basically there is only one other wood pellet barbecue cookbook. Mine will make 2 when it comes out in 2 months.

So excited to see the finished book!   I can't imagine how much work that must be to put together!
It was more difficult and time consuming than I thought it would be Kat. Spent a good 8 months on all facets of the manuscript. I normally never measure anything - Some of this, some of that, throw it on till IT reaches temp, tweak the pit, rest, and enjoy. But for the cookbook I had to develop each recipe with precise amounts, temps, time, etc. All in all it was a very gratifying project and I have a new found respect for cookbook authors.
Congratulations! That might be what pushes me over the edge to buy a pellet cooker... I wish you the best!
Thanks Dave. You'll never look back after you make the leap to a pellet cooker!
Very cool. Congrats. Your description has a typo
Where Oh where Pappy? Is it "... into a masters of home barbecue." - should it be "... into a master of home barbecue."?
... Super confused ready to dive into the pellet pool, not sure which direction to go...... :-X
There are a lot of factors when considering any barbecue smoker/grill - let alone a wood pellet smoker & grill. By now means am I an expert but I would be glad to help out if I can - just IM me with any questions.

Thanks for the heads up Pappy. You can stare at something all day long and never see it ... appreciate your input.

Brisket in the oven!!? - At my age I remember that Seinfeld episode when they would say "blah, blah, blah ... not that there's anything wrong with that!"  8)  :D  ;)

Wow, that is an awesome accomplishment! I will probably get one even though I don't have a pellet grill (yet).

Thanks Ken.  As long as you can reasonably hold temperatures using charcoal, wood, propane then most of my recipes can be adapted to your particular grill.

The Smoke will be happy to know I put it in the freezer until I can cook it proper.
