Wright's Limited Edition Bacon
« Reply #-1 on: June 27, 2016, 09:01:21 AM »
I saw it, I bought it, I ate it.  And, it was good.  It has a decidedly "sweet" taste to it.  My wife even loved it.  I would use this in a recipe that "needed" bacon, but the sweetness would help compliment the ingredients.  If you see this bacon, buy a package.  I think you'll like it.

Never noticed it as "limited edition," but I have had it.  It makes a great pig candy, needing less rub and syrup IMO.

Now I will have to look more closely every time I go to the store.  There might be other "flavors" to try.

Looks like they have 5 listed on their website.... Applewood, Hickory, Barrel Aged, Brown Sugar, and Maple. My store only has the hickory and applewood.

I've had all of the except the Brown Sugar.  I felt that the Maple was really overpowering.

All of the others are great ! ! !
