Using a floor lock with a Grid Iron

In case anyone is interested, I did a modification to my Grid Iron so I don't have to use the locks on the casters.

If it was available as an upgrade, I would have ordered one!

It remains to be seen how it will hold up, and because it is about 1/4" above the ground in the retracted position, it's not ideal for rough terrain, but this works well on my patio, and makes it easy to pull the cooker away from other objects and lock it into position.

Oh, and I did call BGW and showed it to them, so they know about it...

Still a very good idea.  Making one a little more flexible to handle rough ground would not be hard at all

Excellent mod and I will copy it so thanks.
My Grid Iron's pull out burn pot is block by my grill so I have to unlock at least 3 wheels to pivot it out.
This will make it so easy and again great idea.

I got the adjustable floor lock from Amazon.
I cut a piece of pressure treated lumber to go between the shelf and the floor lock, and secured it with 3/8 X 4" carriage bolts (yes, I painted the wood and bolt heads black).

In case you were wondering, the box on the left is my version of a waterproof enclosure for my Tappecue V2.0.
It's allows the probes to be easily inserted and removed, and I am using a USB battery in the box instead of running to an AC outlet.  A 5200 maH battery supplies power for 25 hours!  Magnets secure the box to the cooker, and there is a dead-man cable as a safety.

I am working on a video of the box configuration, hopefully I will get to that over the next few days.

Thanks for the info and I just order one with a section of extruded aluminum for support. 
As far as the waterproof box my Grid Iron is under cover and I use Rock's Stoker interfaced with my Savannah Stoker to run the smoker off cell phone or lap top on the internet
