Controller Display Adjustment or Calibration. to eliminate RTD offset error. This a normally a one-time adjustment or calibration unless replacement of components.

C-13 Temp Gain Low: Default is 1000
This correction factor is applied to the measured temperature to compensate for the difference in temperature between the location of the RTD and the center of the cooking area.

With a temperature monitor probe placed in the center of the grill set the controller to180 degrees and let it stabilize for about 20 to 30 minutes. Compare the temperature at the center of the cooking area with the indicated Blaz’n Controller’s PV (Process Value) displayed temperature. If incorrect make an adjustment if one wants to by entering into C-13 and make an adjustment. C-13 default is 1000.

1. Press and hold the Pellet Prime and Probe Display keys for about 3 seconds. When the display indicates C‐ 1 release the buttons.

2. Press the Temp Up until C-13 appears in the window.

3. Press the On/Off value to display the parameter value. IE default is 1000.

4. To change the parameter value, use the Probe Display (increase) and Temp Display (decrease) keys. If the Center Pit temperature is higher than the Controller PV (Process Value) displayed temperature you need to increase the setting. There is a complicated formula but it is easier to use your best guess. For example, if the Controller Displayed Temperature is 180 and the Actual Center Grill Temperature is 225 recommended is to try an increase of 100 to start with. IE 1000 to 1100.

5. To save the parameter and go back to the parameter number selection mode press the ON key

6. Press the Pellet Prime key to exit the parameter edit mode.

7. Check temperature difference and if needed make another adjustment by correlating the amount of change applied versus the results.

Using these procedures are to be done strictly at your own risk and I am not liable for anything in connection with the usage of the above procedures.
