New 1 Piece Stainless Steel Grease Tray GMC Davy Crockett

Awhile back I bought the 1 piece grease tray for my GMC Davy Crockett. I did not like the 2 piece
at all. It was a pain to clean and the temps were hard to keep stable. This new tray is a godsend.
I have always had temps that were within 5 to 10 degrees of the controller. This one is dead on with
only 1 minor adjustment to my controller software. This is a short video to show it in action.

Is the two pc tray the one with the top pc with all the holes that you slide for more direct grilling??

Yep that would be the one. I don't sear on my DC and besides it was a pain to keep clean.

Glad to see that it is working out so well.
I haven't used my DC since getting the new grease tray
I really didn't have an issue with temps using the two piece tray.
It was just such a pain to get clean.

Obviously most people agree with us because GMG has gone to the one piece tray on the larger models also. (which also works great IMHO)

I didn't know they made a solid drip tray?. I never like those two piece trays.

Thanks for the info Mike. I don't have any problems keeping the two piece trays clean because I always foil it. Not a big fan of the two piece though. Looks like I will be getting myself a single piece grease tray.

In the video, you say adjustment is -3 and climate is HOT.  Where do you make those changes?

Our new Davy Crockett came with the one peice. It has been awesome so far. Only used it 3 times, but seems to be very even. I like your grates better than the ones that are standard with the new grill.
