Pistachios with some Carolina 'Tang'

Took a different spin with this batch..

Subbed Carolina Treet for the Green Tabasco.

1 cup CT
1 cup Pickled Jala juice
1/3 cup Worcestershire
5 T melted butter

Starts like this.

Didn't want to fight the crowds at Sam's, so I got these at Walgreens.

Whoops - forgot to start the MAK.

Into the reveo for a 5 minute spin.

Top rack of the MAK, running 200*.

Up in the guard tower..

Same as before - I'll give them 4 hours, then into a warm oven for a couple more until they are completely dry.

Squirt- you are one real "nutty" guy! ...And I like that in a BBQ'er! ;D Lookin' forward to your thoughts on the Carolina Treet nuts. I am working on a couple of different kinds of similar sauces....

And we're done.   They stick to the frog mat, which makes it real easy to hoist off of the MAK and dump into the big steam table pan.

Had a sampler.   Oh yeah..

Parked in the house oven now on 'warm' for a couple hours.
