1st Chicken Wings
« Reply #-1 on: August 18, 2013, 08:24:33 PM »
Took me a couple of years but finally tried my first wings!
10 with Cookshack Chicken Rub
5 with FE Championship Rub
And 10 with Mo Chicken

Light coat of EVO then the rubs. chilling in the Frig

On the grill in Zone 4 at 275

A little extra Sear for each

Ready to go

Best tasting was
Savory Spices Mo Rockin Chicken
FE Championship Rub (my favorite flavor profile for Brisket and Ribs) but NOT Chicken
And last place was the Cookshack Chicken Rub

next time I will do as Tim suggested and let it stay in Frig for a couple of days.

Good stuff Tim! good stuff!

Very nice wings!  Leaving the drum and flat connected really does promote juiciness.  Just for giggles, try it with reserved bacon grease in place of the EVO one day ... and letting them sit in the fridge for 24-36 definitely will  bump up the flavor a bit.

Dang it, I had them yesterday and now you've got me craving wings again ...

Thanks for the Tip. Can't wait to give that and the extra time in fridge a try!

Thanks Doug! Glad you liked the rub. I am especially glad it tasted better than Fats Eddie's stuff :D :D :D
