Bacon wrapped chicken legs
« Reply #-1 on: December 02, 2011, 11:55:59 PM »
Those last chicken legs I made that I bacon wrapped were awesome. So my next chicken leg batch was all bacon wrapped. The legs were liberally coated with Jan's rub and the each one wrapped with a slice of bacon & a silicone band. The Traeger was loaded with a 50/50 pellet mix of maple and pecan. Then I set the thermostat to 275F and let the Traeger do it's magic. I tossed some Texas cheese toast on the top rack the last 10 minutes and served with garlic mashed potatoes. Really good stuff ;D

Wow Pam! I have used them in my TBE and they have not melted!

Did it touch the side or was it really close to it?
