How long for pulled pork?

Curious how long it takes to do pulled pork on the PBC.  Can you tell me a bit about your cooks?  (weight, cook time, wether you wrapped or not)

5 to 7 hours or so.  Butts cook very well and quick in the PBC.  Oh, that was for 4 to 8 pound butts.

A while back I cooked a 7 pounder in a little over five hours.  That jives with Sparky's results.  Results will vary if you cook more than one, a bigger or smaller one, dink around with the bars or the vent, or the moon is in its last quarter.

always give yourself enough time no matter what pit you are using. Pork butts are very forgiving and can rest for a long while if they happen to get done too early...

If it finishes early, what's the best way to keep it warm?

Not to mention the critter! It's done when it's done. Anyone who says otherwise is jerkin' your chain. You can generally get a "window" on time but BBQ is far from an exact science. Just my two cents, not trying to offend anyone.

I've had them go as little as 4 hours and as long as 7 hours depending on size of butt and lighting method.  I pull at 160 degrees, spray with apple juice and wrap in foil.  Then it goes back on to the PB until internal temp gets to 190-205.  I start monitoring more for feel starting at 190.  Cook varies all of the time.  Iv'e done them in rain, snow, wind and sun.  Too many variables to lock down a time.  That's just my findings.

I did a butt on sunday and let it rest for 2 1/2 hours and I still couldn't touch it without gloves.  The one butt I did on the PBC took 5-6 hours, it was 10 pounds.
