Question on Doing a Brisket Flat
« Reply #-1 on: July 01, 2016, 05:28:21 PM »
Okay folks, I have never attempted a brisket before, but that is going to change this weekend.  I have a 5.25 lb flat that I am going to cook in the PBC.  Would you guys recommend hanging?  If so, using one hook or two?  Or would you just use the grate for this cook?  Thanks in advance for any advice!

I use the grate because I wrap at 160 degrees.
Good luck!

i always hang the point and flat separate to about 160's, foil, then grate until done

I agree with viscera912.  And I go light on the rub too. Good luck and have fun!
