Top Sirloin Oven Roast
« Reply #-1 on: July 25, 2016, 05:37:34 PM »
So I've never cooked this cut of beef before but figured what the hell, on to the PBC it goes. Rubbed with salt, pepper and cayenne and smoked till 125. It's a slightly tougher cut of meat in some areas but holy dam was it good!

Looks great Kona!!! Sandman got some of these at a good price and sold me some. I think if one knew how to cut it you could get the tender part and use the rest for something different. Don

I'm itching to buy a deli slicer. I could cut this thin and have sandwiches for days!

Kona I have a Chefs Choice Mod. 610 slicer and love it. Amazon has one at $159 Prime and the 609 is just $99. I have sliced a lot of ham and beef and it never slows down or gets hot. It cuts pretty thin and stays adjusted. It's easy to clean. Don

I have a 10" Cabela's "commercial" slicer and could not be happier with it. I bought a cheapie at Menards before I got this one. It had suction cup feet and slid all over the place when you tried to use it unless someone was holding it in place. Stay away!!
