Cart for the BESRG
« Reply #-1 on: April 03, 2017, 09:42:38 AM »
I got tired of moving 2 pieces around the deck every time I cook. So I decided to build a rolling cart. I am still trying to decide on the table top. I think that I will make it removable and out of decking boards. When complete I will paint the whole thing. For now I am loving it! Convenient to move and the table is nice for working on.

A VERY smart idea Bobby!

Suggestion? Check with local sheet metal shops...they may have a thin piece of stainless that they could bend to fit for you ( maybe a left over from a a larger job....might make it affordable...) Or even sheet aluminum? I would even think galvanized sheet metal would work fine for that matter...As long as it is a work surface that will NOT be a direct food contact surface, almost any metal would work.. ( Man...what about a piece of copper on that..would that look great? ;) )

Dang, nice job! I just a built a cart as well, though I like your better. Mine has no shelf and I like the way you have the legs set down inside so they don't slide. I used some left over maintenance free decking I had and set the tank and cooker on top. It's way better than lifting both and moving them.

I really like the idea of the table top..I have a 18 x 48" piece of ventilated shelving unit with wheels on it for moving my SRG and big stuff..will have to add a table like yours..thanks for the idea.   .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Thanks for the compliments!

COPPER, did somebody say COPPER? White distressed cart with a copper top would look fantastic! Thanks teesquare!

Great idea!

I've got mine on a furniture dolly, but there is only room for the SRG, not the tank.

I like yours!
