Title: PEPPER STOUT BEEF on the 26er SLOW N SEAR
Post by: Smokin3d on May 13, 2017, 11:46:48 AM
Well I'm attempting to make pepper stout beef for the first time. Picked up a  choice cut chuckie from meijers on sale $3.99 pound and is almost 5 pounds. I also jaccarded the chuckie.
And on the beer I didn't get the extra stout cause I could not find but the one I did get is still a stout beer. I put in an extra pepper and onion with 3 jalapeƱos with out the seeds.
I'm using the 26er with SNS and I put water in the SNS (do I need to put water in it for a chuckie???)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170513/f83271d66c9069a3d4231a5c6c65db73.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170513/af99bf611b29467df86116db84e12095.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170513/101eb662565d20a3fd01c841b9fd0ef9.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170513/2636def0b2d0dcfb834b25e8ef2f7906.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170513/686e2a29b39fc7879f7e2d70c51ba7f9.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170513/c9d914968d56f350a7e6a2777f16b7a3.jpg)

Lmao! The alligator.
I stirred the peppers up and wow does it smell good. Looks like it's gonna be awhile yet I'm only at 151 IT.
So it's a nice sunny day here in Ohio and decided to check the range on the SMOKE cause it says it will go 300 feet equals 100 yards. My drive way is over 200 yards long so I took a walk and wow 172 yards = 516 feet with the receiver held in front of me with a straight line of sight very impressive. The pics prove it. It was pretty hard to line the iPhone up with the range finder took a lot of try's.

Well I have to start by saying if you don't own a SNS it's a must have accessory to any Weber grill simply amazing.
i have never had a chunk of meat like this so juicy and tender just falling apart even the ole lady was impressed. This pepper stout beef is unique and a flavor is something me and everyone else that has tried has not had and will definitely be making again. Along with the bacon fried corn and smashed potatoes it was all a hit tonight.

Vacuum sealed the rest for later enjoyment.
Are these food savor bags safe to put in boiling water when I get a pack out to reheat up or should I take out if bag to reheat?

I use the Foodsaver brand and always throw them in boiling water to re-heat.  It works great.

They are perfect to reheat using a  sous vide circulator.    ;)

Pepper stout beef is sooo good! It's a huge crowd pleaser every time and so much food for the $ and effort. It's a major go to for us! And yes, the food savers are fine to reheat in, we do it all the time and love it. Congrats on a great cook. Thinking a webber kettle and SNS is the next on my BBQ list.
