Savor Spices Chicken on the Weber
« Reply #-1 on: March 28, 2015, 07:04:22 PM »
Got a box a little while back with a giant jug of MO Rockin and a smaller Chicken Savor.

Marinated two spatchcocked birds in buttermilk for two days. Then coated liberally with rub, one flavor for each bird.  Into the fridge to air dry and get happy.

Onto the Performer and cooked until 160.

Plated with mashed taters. I also made a simple pan sauce.

This was really excellent and worth the effort.

Some where I know Tee is smiling......he will be missed 8)

Two questions:
1. Which did you like best or was a discernable difference?

2. Did I croak over and you forgot to tell me? ??? ;D

That's a nice plate of comfort Pappy!

But you'd think that you would tell a guy that he's uh, um, gone? :-\

First of all, the meal looks fantastic!  Secondly, your photo skills are improving!  Third, what do you mean "Some where I know Tee is smiling......he will be missed"?  I didn't know he was lost.  Wait, that may not be the best choice of words.

To be honest. My wife doesn't like BBQ rubs. But said on previous chicken cooks that she liked Chicken Savor, as it doesn't mask the chicken flavor.
I am the last person you want to describe what I taste. Wife says my taste buds are broken. Must be my lifestyle of fast cars and fast women. ???

Good looking chicken. Wendy likes rubs but with no heat in them. I have to watch what rubs I get that have no heat and are not to salty...

All those years of binging on peas have damaged your taste buds Pappy!

That chicken looks great made me hungry.

Then I saw the picture of Tim and quickly lost my appetite again :P
