CB New Electric Smoker
« Reply #-1 on: August 27, 2015, 05:29:35 PM »
Gosh, I am getting old - can't remember which thread this came up in... But, CB has introduced a new electric smoker. I was fortunate to be one of the original prototype testers (and I got to keep it!) I do still have the original CB electric smoker - the same one Pam has. It works very well (although I have had and still have problems with the door.)

This one has a very solid door that closes and holds perfectly. It also has a digital control that works very well. The temp holds almost perfectly, can't imagine how it could be better. As I have mentioned in the past - I love the idea of a stick burner, sitting on the deck, sipping a mint tea... yada yada... no - it ain't happening... yup I am either to busy, distracted or lazy.

So, the electric version works for me. BUT, I don't want to go buy or try to find some special pucks... again, just me - no offense to anyone!

I've posted my thoughts previously. But saw this review from "livefire" today. I tried to ask them for permission to repost, but no response. On the advise of a very good friend, I am reposting it anyway... enjoy!

My Bradley is more or less just a cabinet with shelves anymore. Put a 900w element in it that I control with an auber pid and generate smoke with tubes or a maze. Don't use the smoke generator or temp control at all. That said, I still use it a lot! More or less just a high priced cabinet.
