Brisket
« Reply #-1 on: September 26, 2015, 02:06:06 AM »
Had a brisket all rubbed down and had my wood chopped........the Doc adjusted my BP meds a couple of days ago and The Smoke hasn't been feeling too good. Had to take Wendy to a staff meeting at the hospital and I headed over to the emergency department. Got the meds adjusted but I need sleep real bad.
But I have a briskie in the fridge so time to plug in the electric smoker.......

Injected with Stubbs Texas Butter and into the smoker for an all night ride at 160.....gotta sleep....see y'all in the morning

Hope your meds work soon Smoke. I went through the same thing. BP meds gave me a cough or made me tired etc. Finally got the right ones and have been great ever since. Take care.

They put me on something that gave me cramps and charlie horses for 8 hours straight. They got the BP down, but I feel like 9 miles of rough road.............

Got the brisket all sliced up. It really came out good. Not one of the better briskets I have bought but there was only two at Wal-Mart so I grabbed the one that was most pliable. Now for a little puffy puffy (corn-cob) and gonna hit the hay early..................

Good looking brisket.  Maiden smoke in a new smoker?

Hope your BP settles to a manageable number.  My BP is under control but boy howdy do I get tired at times.

Thanks Old Sarge...we grabbed a Smokin-It smoker for our front deck. It is up higher and we haven't had any bears get up here. I have an outlet so that helps. Just a safe way to smoke things without taking a chance of burning down the forest.....
